Eggshell membrane (ESM) incorporated with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was developed as a promising wound-dressing material with enhanced antimicrobial, biological, and physical properties. Green-synthesized AgNPs displayed greater antimicrobial efficacy and stability compared to commercially available AgNPs. The AgNPs-ESM samples exhibited desirable properties for potential dermal applications, highlighting the potential for sustainable wound-healing therapies. Further in vivo studies are required to evaluate the long-term biocompatibility and effectiveness of these biomaterials.
