KOLAIDO GmbH (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates www.kolaido.com (the “Site”) and IKOSA (app.ikosa.ai), an online image data management and image analysis platform (the “Service”).
We take your data privacy very seriously and act in full compliance with applicable data security laws (including but not limited to: Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and EU-GDPR). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site and/or the Service.
By using the Site and/or the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information Collection And Use
While using our Site and/or our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Information”).
For the Site, the Personal Information includes your email address, your name and your interests regarding image analysis applications.
For the Service, the Personal Information includes your name, contact details (phone, email, fax, address), login credentials, the name of your company/business/organisation (“Organisation”), details of your Organisation (contact details, commercial register data, bank details, VAT number, credit card numbers), quotations, contracts, bills, business correspondences, log data (types and times of interactions with the Service), and email addresses of persons that you want to invite to the Service.
Purpose and Communications
We may use your Personal Information for the following purposes (“Purpose”):
- to provide and improve the Site and the Service,
- to handle support requests,
- to provide and operate the Service (incl. billing, payment, …),
- to contact you with newsletters and marketing or promotional materials regarding our company and products. You may opt out of these communications by using the instructions provided in each communication or by sending an email to support@kolaido.com.
Legal Basis
Legal basis for the use of your Personal Information is either your consent and/or the performance of a contract (when registering and/or subscribing to the Service) (Art. 6, paragraph 1 lit. a,b GDPR EU) and/or a legitimate interest for us as the controller (when visiting the Site) (Art. 6, paragraph 1 lit. f GDPR EU) for achieving the Purpose.

For the given Purpose we will transmit your Personal Information to the following processors:

- IT service providers (calendar, email, project management, documentation, cloud storage, backup provider)

Deletion and Retention Periods
If you are registered for the use of our Service, your Personal Information is stored permanently for the given Purpose, i.e. to fulfill the contract. After you have stopped using the Service and deleted your account, your Personal Information is deleted within 6 months, if there is no legal obligation to retain this data longer. If you are not registered for the use of our Service, some of your Personal Information (email address, name, interests regarding image analysis applications) is stored for the given Purpose for up to five years starting from end of calendar year, if there is no legal obligation to retain this data longer.
Newsletter
If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, you can cancel your subscription directly through a link in the newsletter or at any time by contacting us (e.g. via email to support@kolaido.com).
Log Data
Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser or client sends whenever you visit our Site or use the Service (“Log Data”).
This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site or Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics and metrics.

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive.

IP-anonymisation is automatically enabled in all Google Analytics 4 properties. This guarantees anonymised data collection by masking the last part of your IP address.

Changes To This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of July 16, 2024 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.
We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued visits of the Site and use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

According to Art. 77, paragraph 1 GDPR EU, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that the processing of your Personal Information infringes the GDPR EU.
